F.A.Q. Frequently Asked Questions
Who developed this technique?
-
Beginning in1972, basic research of the Meta Information Technique (M.I.T.) was performed at Stanford University at the Stanford Research Institute International.
The goal of the research study was to discover a method by which to transfer information obtained in the subconscious to the conscious.
Basic research began in the 1970's and continued into continued into the mid-1990’s.
Several additional projects, in cooperation with other institutes, were able to confirm the measurability of M.I.T.
The term “Remote Viewing” was originated in the early 1970’s by two renowned scientists, Dr. Harold Puthof and Dr. Russel Targ. “Remote Viewing” is a term that was chosen because of its neutrality, as the scientists wanted to avoid using a term that would give anyone a preconceived notion or any assumed association with the occult.
Remote Viewing describes the physical skill of sensory perception that is used to detect and accurately describe a location, person, or object, without being physically present. This sense is not as recognized as are the other 5 senses (sight, taste, sound, touch, smell), but is just as accessible.
At the time of the remote viewing research studies, a follow-up project at Princeton University was completed, known as the “Symbolic System Program.” Dr. Harold Puthof and the renowned American medium Ingo Swan developed a self-styled “technical prototype” on which the basis of M.I.T. was generated.
M.I.T. is a totally new technique that I have developed, based upon the “technical prototype” of the Stanford Research Institute (SRI). M.I.T. is a new, structured method that can be learned and utilized by anyone.
The so-called “application templates” were constructed to allow the “viewer” to tap into this information corridor and in doing so, generate a higher level of success in their research.
How did your interest on this research topic come about?
-
My interest on this subject came about during my in-service training (flight psychologist for the German Federal Armed Forces) at NASA where I was involved in research projects involving a similar goal. In the beginning of a seminar in 2003, I made a presentation about current research being done on this subject. The response and feedback from the participants was so enormous, that I immediately wanted to know the exact extent of research being performed at the “Stanford Research Institute International” at Stanford University in Menlo Park, California and at the Princeton University. I studied this topic for many months at both universities.
In what period of time did your research take place?
-
From 2003 to present, namely at SRI and eurac.
Which confirmations / results occurred on the way to reaching the application?
-
By working with the same structured procedure involving the application templates, the individual results can be measured, compared and with that, be scientifically analyzed. Written documentation is necessary to verify the results of the research.
At the moment, the biggest achievement thus far is, for example, placing a chosen picture in a sealed envelope, with a given research number on it, in front of a research team or an individual. They are then to find out information about the picture sealed in the envelope, for example, location and structures, without ever first seeing the picture. The average result is that over 60%. There have been results of 89% in which nearly the same dimensions and almost exact illustrations of the hidden picture have been identified. Simultaneously, one can conclude that with increased training of this technique, research results can improve even more.
On this planet, there are an infinite number of information patterns having an average of 60% that mathematically can not be explained.
What attempts / efforts have been made at this technique in the past? (including actual research)
-
As in question number 1: At Stanford University under the title of “Remote Viewing.” At the same time, military organizations indicated their interest on such extraordinary happenings.
The late American Biologist and Parapsychologist, co-founder and Director of the Parapsychology Laboratory at the Duke University in Derham, North Carolina, Dr. Joseph Banks Rhine directed an assignment for the U.S. Government, already in 1952, with use of ESP (Extrasensory Perception). In the middle of 1960’s, rising officers of the U.S. Air Force were tested on their PSI-skills in order to develop the appropriate avenues of approach for later testing. In the Vietnam War, different ESP techniques were already used to find mine fields and hiding places of the Viet-Kong. For this, the U.S. Marine Corps used the so-called “radiästhetische technik”, or “divining rod technique.”
The CIA and the U.S. Military DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency) invested more than 20 billion dollars in a research project known as “Stargate” (not associated with the television series of the same name), with the goal to further develop “Remote viewing” for military purposes and to utilized it as an espionage instrument. Although it was the intent of the U.S. government to keep this research project Top Secret, a Washington Post edition from August 7, 1977 wrote about “unusual experiments” of the CIA, DIA, and the NSA (National Security Agency), being performed at the SRI.
The SRI-Physicist Dr. Harald E. Puthoff and Dr. Russell Targ demonstrated, during these experiments, the extraordinary abilities of the renowned U.S. mediums Ingo Swan and Pat Price for high-ranking security personnel. They were able to exactly describe the abstract target coordinates of faraway geographical localities. The well-known American PSI agent Joe McMoneagle, who spent 18 years of service in the U.S. Army, was also present. He claimed he played a major role in finding and freeing of the 50 American hostages held in Iran during the presidency of Jimmy Carter. He also took part in over 1000 special operation tasks for the U.S. government. In 1995, the “Stargate” project officially ended due to lack of funds and resources. As I previously mentioned, a follow-up research program under the name of “Symbolic system program” is currently taking place at the Princeton University. In Germany at the ISFR (Institute for Brain Research Science and Future Research), a cooperation partner of eurac, up-to-date research is also being conducted and there are also many different so-called “Remote Viewing Providers” that have developed and branched into different sectors and in my opinion, these providers and those who follow them, are of a frivolous nature and portray only the esoteric. They are often known under different names such as TRV (Technical Remote Viewing) and CRV (Coordinate Remote Viewing). SRV (Scientific Remote Viewing) I believe I’ve also heard.
The given impresssion here is that totally free and without a lot of training, everything can be researched. Although, there is no realistic confirmation or measurability and control if it is correct or not. Favorite subjects are, for example, UFO colonies on Mars or the moon. In any case, these unreliable techniques are used as tools for schemes of every kind. These type of providers do not deal with concrete scientific research, but rather with their aggressive propaganda and phenomenal abilities. Their questionable seminars are often offered at very high prices.
Who are suitable candidates in learning this technique? What are the personal requirements?
-
Anyone is capable of learning this technique but there are limitations; people that have difficulty concentrating or those that have too esoteric beliefs. The necessary qualifications are simply to be open-minded, have the desire to try it out, and be willing to invest the time in continuous training. People who process so called supernatural talents (or believe that they do) may find this technique difficult because they tend to wait for a trusted gut feeling or a bonding which can appear as subjective and associative and therefore influence the research results. The research results are then unconfirmable or unuseable.
This is the necessary fundamental skill of the “non-thinkers.”
What can M.I.T. do and what not?
-
With M.I.T., basically all the information in the world/universe can be researched ; information about actual objects and existing locations and their relation, information about thoughts that have been thought or will be thought in this world.
The information research is in principle, a timeless space; meaning, time and space do not play a role. Therefore information regarding events from the past can also be researched; for example, history, etc.. Analysis of past research is extremely complex because it cannot be determined what period of time what information is significant and relative. Such was the case in research of a well-known glacier cave (Grindelwald-Glacier-Cave). Researchers sensed characteristics such as “blue”, “cold”, “quiet” as well as “hot”, “loud” and “sizzling.” The reason being that that the cave was discovered by prehistoric flamethrowers making the above mentioned characteristic "hot" extremely strong. That is exactly why it is so important to work with an exact structured procedure using the application templates.
What M.I.T. definitely can not do is to research the future, even when some remote viewers claim it is possible and with that, disrespectfully draw on Albert Einstein's theory of relativity, which they logically can not even derive.
Simply, a quite exact trend or occurance for the future can be exactly determined because there are always current casual reasons existing. Certain events and factors will just not change. Entirely after the term “probability”, the chances of getting the wished results in the future are higher when I am present to lead the exact measures and steps. Thus, it is simply a large piece and projection of the future.
Can this method be evaluated by the formal scientific view points? (repetition, measurability, definition)?
-
Partly. It is difficult to repeat the same research project with the same research team because the team already knows the essential facts. This knowledge can therefore unconsciously persuade the team to obtain the same results they received the first time the research was made, making the results subjective. Although the measurability in regards to a comparison is definitely present. Unfortunately at the present time, only the results from two working “blind” research teams have been formally tested.
There is a specific definition, however, it falls under the conditions of two axioms that must be taken into consideration:
Basic assumption 1: There is a matrix (collective unconscious, according to Dr. Jung) in which all the non-physical information in the world is stored. According to Anton Zeillinger (well-known quantum-physicist), information and reality are a pair, like the two sides of a medal or a coin. The one side exists at the same time as the other. There is reality and therefore there is information and where there is information, there is a reality.
Basic assumption2: People can learn to access this non-physical information field.
To what extent must someone have to believe that M.I.T. works? Or is it a universal method that anyone can learn?
-
In my experience, M.I.T. is a method that anyone, and I mean anyone, can learn. The participant needs the word “believe.” Only then, when he he has tried it out, can he admit it. The saying: “I accept both axioms and am ready to begin."
Where is the border to esoteric / Para sciences?
-
In regards to the esoteric and respectively to the Para sciences, the discussion of this phenomena or PSI-skill is often referred to as clairvoyance. That is a totally other classification. The reason being is that in most cases, it is assumed that people having a conscience intuition are able to strengthen it with the assistance of appropriate techniques and methods and therefore, can become exceptional “mediums”. Consequently, other basic assumptions do exist.
What are PSI-Skills?
-
PSI is "Para Sensual Intelligence" (ESP). It is also sometimes referred to as “the seventh sense.” With this, people are able to see into the near future and far away locations without being physically present. Allegedly, these people can also read thoughts, move objects with their minds, and influence incidents on Earth.
Basically, PSI-based Phenomenon can be regarded as an upper category for terms such as: clairvoyance, telepathy and telekinesis. Although as of yet, the presence of such skills cannot be validated.
Because M.I.T. information comes from a non-physical field - and not traditionally through the five senses - information can become researched, we must work with a standard definition in order to clarify the different styles of explanations and patterns.
PSI-skills are sometimes also simply referred to as supernatural talents or ESP.
Is it necessary to be in a trance or hypnotized to successfully use the M.I.T. technique?
-
In the past, much research has been done under these conditions. However, there have been no significant and relevant measurable results. As a rule, working with M.I.T., a state of hypnosis and/or trance is not used.
To define "trance": In that moment when I constrain my conscious (hypnoid) and concentrate on a specific sensory corridor, I am already in a trance-like-state. By this definition, we indeed do work with trance. We therefore need to ask ourselves if there is even a state in which trance does not exist. This can be compared to when someone is totally involved and concentrated while reading an exciting book. All distractions go unnoticed (other sounds, etc.).
How can someone gain access to the non-physical information field?
-
At the beginning of a research! The sole purpose in the first 3 – 6 steps of the M.I.T. protocol is to a make a connection to the “sought after” information field, localize it, and construct a secure and stable flow of information. (Resonance effect: Researcher <-> Information field)
How does information from the non-physical information field transfer over to the physical information field in regards to perception and filtering of the selected information? (Selection steps)?
-
By lowering the subliminal threshold in the brain! This allows greater access to the right hemisphere, in other words, all the everyday conscious information becomes suppressed and this is how we are able to perform our “days work.” By focusing on the given M.I.T. research assignment and by means of the application templates, an “information ping-pong effect” is created: assignment – focus – left hemisphere – subliminal threshold – right hemisphere – information field – and back with the subsequent objectifing of the information: Writing, talking and sketching! The next "information inquiry" and "resonance" is initiated by a renewed focus of the task’s objective...and so on!
How is the information categorized and evaluated?
-
By using the MIT protocol and the application templates which provide the essential ordinal schema.
How is the correct meaning and content of the information transferred?
-
Through the summarization process – evaluation – analysis – comparison to reality / actual facts. This information is already supplied by the use of the M.I.T. application templates. “Free research” is reserved for long term, trained research experts.
How is this information stored?
-
Every transferred “information packet” of the research can be found in the notes (paper +/or computer data) of the research - otherwise the steps of the protocol could not be validated. In a project, individual researches are collected and entered into a special databank, made available for the trained analyser (trained specialist - myself at the moment), for analysis. The purpose of this databank is to store information to be used by future analysers.
How is this information utilized further (in the sense of reliability and validity)?
-
After the analysis of the data in a professional project is completed, a written report is prepared and given to the client. In a personal meeting, the data is defined and every section explained in detail. A certified information research expert then meets with the client and explains the data of each section in depth (rapport). This rudimentary process arises in studies as a comparison instrument for practice researches. Only after completion of the training is the "certified research expert" allowed to continue the education to become an analyzer (at least that is the plan).
What role does a self-fulfilling prophecy play?
-
With correct and consistent practice with the M.I.T. protocol, this effect can be eliminated to zero. Through the commitment of the research team and the so-called "blind researches" (no previous knowledge), this effect can be again, reduced to zero.
In the information transfer process, does the non-physical information field become deconstructed and later again, with one‘s own questions, reconstructed?
-
Not when using the method correctly! One selects the information field passively, which may have a negative effect. To one person, the readout is part of the field! To another more "biased" person, the "information pattern readout." Subsequently, for example, the client or target person has an easier access to this "information cluster." This can be conveyed through intuition or creative ideas that are in the same sense - before the results are presented. After the practice involving the application templates, the client/target person has a better connection to this information field...but only when he/she have connected to this field correctly.
In accordance with the predisposition of the test person, is the putting together of the information fragments motive driven, or rather comparable to time, space and ethnics; and repetitive?
-
Both! Each research expert speaks in his own language! The individual intellect and verbal repertoire (vocabulary and thesaurus) combined with his application skills define the results. Three totally independent working research experts described that they can focus on the essential key aspects of a research – objects, one in the same, identifiable in the outlines of their repertoires. They have also learned how to filter out affinity, fear, etc.
Does M.I.T. help with the evaluation and selection of information? (in the sense of important versus unimportant)?
-
Yes! The research results form a “red line.” With this, further actions and information selections become aligned with each other.
How can the research results be checked for accuracy? (How do the application templates work, who developed them, and how reliable are they)?
-
Accuracy and function: See above.
Reliability: Application templates that fit closely to the protocol contain an average of 80% "personality and free interpretation" of raw information. Application templates with a high multiple choice section - like those used in the beginning of the training - have an average under 80%. How far under it goes depends on the degree of training (correct retrieval and recording) of the data from the information field.
The application templates (only the basic templates) were developed by Mr. Tankiewicz and me. All other templates have been developed by me at eurac.
How much interpretation tolerance remains to the trainer/participant?
-
The tolerance is given - but is dependent on the type of assignment and the templates.
What (institutions and groups) are working on similar projects/techniques?
-
I don‘t know of any that conduct similar scientific and structured work as we do.
How does classical (university) science react to M.I.T.?
-
Until now, I haven’t had any valued experiences because I have yet to be confronted - what is, however, in work.
Is there any competition in this type of technique? (in terms of generating knowledge as fast as possible? (For example, space travel)?
-
Not made public, rather behind the scenes. China is far ahead, as they are traditionally more open-minded to these types of techniques. Large businesses also use this potential in areas of development – at least attempt to, for example; the Volkswagen Coaching GmbH’s concentrates on consolidating methods for the development of their Human Resources.
Which areas of application are open and where is the limit?
-
In general;
- Problem solving
- Accelerated development
- Generation of key and additional information for decision making!
